Disclosure Day (Movie review)

SPIELBERG has made a number of iconic Sci-Fi films. ET was one. Close Encounters was another, and Minority Report was incredible.

My Disclosure: I will probably have to watch Disclosure Day again before I can rank it with those other hits.

Emily Blunt is spectacular. It’s a treat to have Colin Firth on the screen in anything.  I’m trying to recall any other cast members that I can reference, but there were a lot of new faces for me. Which is not to say that the supporting cast was sub-par—it was not.

The topic of the film is very timely. And although the plot seemed untidy to me for a while, Spielberg built the suspense and then successfully brought things together in his inimitable way.

It’s worth the ride, but not sure (yet) it belongs in the Canon of Great Sci-Fi Films.
